About TechAdapt

TechAdapt was established in 1998 by Sharon von See, a Braille transcriber with extensive experience in literary Braille, tactile graphics production and textbook format, and her husband Chris, a software consultant with a background in software design and development, Web technologies, and HTML/XML standards. The company's driving goal is to use a combination of advanced Braille transcription techniques, emerging technologies and supporting software to provide open access to print and electronic materials to blind and visually handicapped individuals throughout the world.
